This summer saw the rebirth of a monster! The spirit, the life and the soul of the old Monsters of Rock festivals rose from the ashes of the classic event into the form of a new one day, one stage festival -
Over the course of a sunny day in a Newark field we were treated to one of the highlights of the summer with a line up which included Skid Row, The Quireboys and Anvil amongst others. It was such a successful
event that the organisers have started work already on the second instalment for 2019.
Today, it was announced that Glenn Hughes will be the headline act for Stonedeaf Festival 2019. The ‘Voice of Rock’ is set to perform Deep Purple classics amongst other favourites on the ‘Tommy Vance Stage’ at Stonedeaf. Vocalist, bassist and songwriter Glenn is a living breathing Rock Legend, he has written, played and sung some of the best rock songs of all time.
Supporting Glenn on August 24th will be none other than NWOBHM legends, and inspirations for Metallica - Diamond Head. Very few bands are cited as having a pioneering influence on both fans and bands alike and their set will no doubt go down a storm.
Also announced are The Amorettes, the Scottish female trio are a lean mean rock machine, bringing solid riffs, songs and a fantastic energy to the stage. Prepare to get ‘Hot and Heavy’; they are living up to their quest to take over the world one show at a time.
Aussie rockers Massive are a modern volatile hard rock engine and the final band as part of this first announcement. Fuelled on adrenaline, beer and an obvious passion for Rock’n’Roll, they deservedly have a growing global following. Their infectious enthusiasm and talent makes you sit up and notice.
To top it a off the legend that is Krusher returns for a second year as compere for the event.
Tickets for the 2019 edition of the festival are on sale now and with today’s announcement they’re sure to sell out fast!
